Phool Karahi Gosht Masala (50g)
A very popular recipe in Pakistan , Karahi or Kadhai Gosht Recipe is a delicious and easy to make dish. Karahi or Kadhai Gosht is traditionally served in a wok like pan called karahi/kadhai, hence the name karahi/kadhai gosht. Serve it hot with peas pulao, khichdior naan, it tastes amazing with a variety of dishes. Made with few spices and ingredients, karahi gosht recipe is cooked essentially with tomatoes. You can even try the same ingredients and method with chicken to make chicken karahi recipe. But I love to cook it with mutton. The mutton pieces are first fried in oil and fat is added to it,(though I don’t use it and am happy with the results produced without it) and then the tomato is added and cooked further with other spices. One interesting ingredient that is missing is the onion. Almost all other mutton based recipes call for onion, but in karahi gosht, onion isn’t necessary. Even with minimal ingredients, the flavor and taste of karahi is just amazing.
